Di Seccombe is an admitted attorney with a Masters degree in taxation and has been involved in tax for over 10 years. Di is currently the National Head of Tax training and presentations with Mazars and in this capacity provides tax training to Mazars partners, staff and clients on a national basis. Di also consults on Income Tax matters including, Corporate, Individual and International tax as well as VAT.
Di presents tax seminars on a national basis, focusing on general as well as specialised tax topics. Di still lectures part time for the National School of Accounting to assist up and coming CA's with passing the UNISA CTA (Hons) programme.
Di started her tax career as a full time academic with the University of KwaZulu-Natal before moving into practice. She has presented numerous tax seminars with great success to attendees ranging from JSE Corporate advisors to smaller tax practitioners and is a popular lecturer amongst her students. Di's primary focus in any presentation is that attendees find the material relevant and presented in an understandable and accessible manner.
Prof.Dr. Daniel N. Erasmus
Dr. Daniel N. Erasmus has been a leading pioneer in the advancement of taxpayers rights, ultimately developing a system of tax risk management to circumvent the adversarial nature of tax controversies with tax authorities. He is a world-wide leader in knowledge and skills in this area of taxation, having taught thousands of delegates the principles of tax risk management, and how to implement these in MNEs.
He served as chairman of the Law Society of South Africas Tax Matters Committee for several years.
He is co-founder and former lecturer of the University of Johannesburgs Diploma in Tax Practice program, and co-authored a number of books and publications.
Daniel was on a sub-committee on the Katz Commission of Inquiry into Taxation in South Africa, and has been a member of the VAT technical committee for SARS.
Daniels expertise is widely acclaimed and recognised, with the result that he has also been a consultant and guide to many leading MNEs in South Africa, Africa, Eastern Europe and Western Europe.
He is a Practicing attorney admitted to practice as an attorney in the High Court and Supreme Court of Appeal, South Africa, 1989, as well as US Tax Court Practitioner, 2011..
Heather has been practising as an attorney for the past sixteen years, initially with a strong litigation slant but has over the past six years specifically elected to specialise in Tax Law, Trust Law and Trust Administration.
Heather is a registered tax practitioner and also the author of several articles written for the Tax Talk magazine, the official journal of the South African Institute of Tax Practitioners.
She has successfully presented many public lectures and seminars countrywide, addressing audiences on a variety of topics including Trusts, Trusts Administration and Tax.
Has been in the Insurance & Financial Industry since 1981 becoming a Financial Advisor in 1998. She has obtained an HDIP Tax (RAU) in 2004 and completed her CFP Professional Studies (UFS) in 2007. Carmen also successfully completed in 2011 a Post Grad Dip in Tax (Cum) with UFS obtaining 10 distinctions. She is registered with the FSB and Medical Council. Is a CFP® Professional Member of the FPI and a Master Member with the South Africa Institute of Tax Profession and a Member of the Fiduciary Institute of South Africa .
Carmen has successfully facilitated workshops in the Gauteng area for students
completing the Post Grad Diploma in Financial Planning since 2007.
Students that have attended these workshops have been successful in their exams
- many obtaining distinctions as well as moving on to advanced studies.
Carmen has recently been accepted as an FPI Approved CPD provider.
