Diane Seccombe

Di is a qualified attorney with a Masters in Taxation (LLM Taxation).  Di works as a senior tax manager at one of the bigger audit firms in Cape Town and this practical insight, together with her extensive suite of training sessions to corporates, audit firms and the public sector makes her a much-sought after Taxation specialist.  Di has been lecturing Taxation for NSOA for the past 9 years and also lectures CTA-level Taxation for Varsity College and Varsity Tutors.

Professor Owen Skae

Owen Skae is an Associate Professor and Director of the Rhodes Business School in Grahamstown.  Owen lectured post-graduate Managerial Accounting at UKZN for 11 years and is now entering his 6th year of lecturing UNISA CTA students for NSOA.  He is also the volume editor of “Managerial Finance”, which is one of the prescribed text books for UNISA CTA students.  Owen brings his wealth of practical experience, and in-depth understanding of Managerial Accounting and Finance as a subject to students who typically struggle with the concepts encountered in this difficult subject.


Graeme O'Reilly

Graeme is a CA(SA) and is the Academic Support Programme Director at NSOA.  He has been lecturing Auditing at post-graduate level for the past 15 years, the last 8 of which have been focused on UNISA CTA students.  Graeme also teaches practical auditing to trainee accountants in small and medium-sized audit practices and brings this practical understanding to the fore in being able to explain what are otherwise very technical topics. 

Carl Erasmus

Carl is a CA(SA) who runs his own consulting firm, providing IFRS advice to both private clients and contracted audit firms. 

Carl has been lecturing Financial Accounting for NSOAS for the past 8 years and is also currently a senior lecturer in Financial Accounting for both Varsity College and Varsity Tutors.  He has the rare ability of being able to show students how to apply theory when tackling questions in Financial Accounting.
